Lead Program Assistant Job Responsibilities
The Lead Program Assistant is responsible for providing quality instruction and supervision
for children and young adults with developmental disabilities.
- Provides direct individual and group instruction to participants in accordance with
participant’s abilities, goals, agency training levels and agency goals.
- Thoroughly and accurately completes program paperwork. As assigned.
- Initiates communication and work habits that facilitate teamwork with co-workers.
- Demonstrates positive and professional communication with other agencies and
businesses.
- Maintains a clean, organized and safe environment.
- Responsible for planning and coordinating activities.
- Implementation of all planned and scheduled activities.
- Collects timesheets, and attendance sheets checks them for completion and submits
them to the Director.
- Administers medication in compliance with policies and maintains medication
administration log for each participant.
- Responsible for submitting purchase orders and purchasing supplies as needed.
- Responsible for personal care needs of participants which can include assistance with
toileting, dressing, and eating.
- Responsible for administering basic first aid to participants and staff and completing
incident reports.
Requirements
• Must be 18 years of age
• Have experience working with children.
• Valid Photo ID (Driver’s License, Passport or Military Id) and Social Security Card.
• Current CPR and First Aid Certification
• 3 references
• Class 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Employees must have their own reliable transportation.
• Attend Blue Mountain Provider Orientation and training.
• Article 9 training
• This position is a Lead Position, some college preferred
Compensation and Benefits
- $10.00 - $12.00 per hour Determined by education and experience.
