Program Assistant Job Responsibilities
- Carries out duties assigned by Lead Program Assistant and Program Director
- Observation of Afterschool Clubhouse and Adult Day Program participants in ALL
activities
- Provides assistance as needed to participants
Expected to:
- Arrive on time
- Check with supervisor of assigned duty
- Prepare bags and van for field trips
- Greet participants at the door
- Assist with sign in and start activities
- Assist as needed in ALL activities
- Facilitate positive actions between yourself and the participants
- At all times, be a role model to the participants
- Use positive reinforcement
- Responsible for personal care needs of participants which can include assistance with
toileting, dressing, and eating.
- Responsible for administering basic first aid to participants and completing incident
reports.
- Documents daily attendance and participant’s progress towards goals.
- Other duties as required
Requirements
• Must be 18 years of age
• Have experience working with children.
• Valid Photo ID (Driver’s License, Passport or Military Id) and Social Security Card.
• Current CPR and First Aid Certification
• 3 references
• Class 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Employees must have their own reliable transportation.
• Attend Blue Mountain Provider Orientation and Habilitation training.
• Article 9 Training
Compensation and Benefits
- $8.00 - $10.00 per hour Determined by education and experience.
